We all want sturdy kids - sons and daughters who can withstand a fall and get back up. Research shows the most resilient children aren't the wealthiest, the most athletic or the smartest; they are the ones that know the families story. In Deuteronomy 6, God tells Israel to teach their kids to love God and follow His commands. When the children ask what the commands mean, God tells Israel "tell them our story".
What does it look like to raise kids who are rooted in their story -- kids who know who they are, where they come from, where they belong and where they are headed? How might a better understanding of story, empower our kids to live fuller, more purposeful, more joyful lives?
