Mission Connections

We believe that God has called his people, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

We also believe in the great commission to be God’s sent out people as we live in our “Jerusalem” and as we reach our “Judea”, “Samaria” and “ends of the earth” in the corner of the world where God has placed us.

For the Kaufman Church of Christ Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and ends of the earth are:

  • Kaufman/Kaufman County (Jerusalem)
  • Judea & Samaria (State, Regional & National ministries)
  • Ends of the Earth (International ministries)

Specifically, this means that we are choosing to focus on these areas and ask that all of members give of their time and resources as we do so. We have some ongoing commitments in each area and are always praying about and pursuing new opportunities to engage these places with the love of Jesus Christ. We believe that no one person can accomplish advancing the gospel alone. That’s why “we do missions together” and that’s why it’s called “the great co-mission.

Our mission is described by "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless in this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world" (James 1:27).

Now we see that God is sending us to little children that were abandoned, mistreated, unwanted and abused.  We want to show them God's love in a family atmosphere, provide them with good medical care, education and teach them about Jesus.  We also want to teach, help and encourage parents to keep their babies and build healthy families.

Little Dresses for Africa

Our mission is to provide relief to children of Africa, by distributing dresses to little girls, primarily in African villages, but also other countries in crisis. Because of the widespread AIDS pandemic, little girls are often left to be the primary care givers of their young siblings. It is our hope that in delivering dresses to these young girls, that a seed will be planted in their hearts, in the name of Jesus, that they are worthy.

We plant the seeds; God sends the harvest.

More information can be found at little dresses for africa or by contacting Pat Shaw as our local representative for the Kaufman Church.
